Yunory Player is not yet code-signed with an expensive certificate. Click on „More info" and then „Run anyway". Once enough users have installed the app, SmartScreen will learn that it’s trustworthy.
Installer (Setup.exe) installs Yunory Player permanently on your PC, creates shortcuts and makes it launchable from the Start menu.
Portable (.exe) needs no installation — just double-click and use, even from a USB stick.
The app is an optimised browser wrapper around yunory.com with hardware acceleration for 4K streams, F11 fullscreen and external link handling. You use the same login as in the browser.
Samsung TVs only allow sideloading via Developer Mode using Tizen Studio from a PC. Fastest way:
1. Install Tizen Studio on your PC (free, from tizen.org).
2. On the TV: open Apps → press 1-2-3-4-5 on the remote → enable Developer Mode → enter your host PC IP → reboot the TV.
3. In Tizen Studio Device Manager: enter TV IP → connect.
4. In the terminal:tizen install -n YunoryPlayer-Tizen.wgt -t <device>
5. App appears in the TV apps menu as "Yunory Player".
Note: the sideload certificate expires after ~3 months — reinstall the app afterwards. Beta version, Samsung Store submission later.
LG is a bit easier than Samsung — no PC studio required, but Developer Mode:
1. In the LG Content Store install the "Developer Mode" app.
2. Open the app → sign in with your LG developer account (free at webostv.developer.lge.com).
3. Set Dev Mode Status to ON → reboot the TV.
4. On your PC install ares-cli: npm install -g @webosose/ares-cli
5. Connect your TV via ares-setup-device, then:ares-install --device <tv-name> YunoryPlayer-webOS.ipk
6. App appears in the LG launcher as "Yunory Player".
Beta version. LG Content Store submission coming later (free).
Via the "Downloader" app (easiest):
1. In the Fire TV menu → Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options → enable "Apps from Unknown Sources".
2. Install the free "Downloader" app from the Fire TV Appstore.
3. Open Downloader → enter URL: yunory.com/downloads/YunoryPlayer-FireTV-en.apk
4. Click "Go" → "Install" → done. The app appears in the apps menu as "Yunory Player".
Via ADB (for developers):adb connect <FIRE-TV-IP>:5555 && adb install YunoryPlayer-FireTV-en.apk
1. Download the APK: yunory.com/downloads/YunoryPlayer-Android-en.apk — or click the "Download now" button in the "Android phone / tablet" card above.
2. If not yet allowed: Android settings → Apps & notifications → Advanced → Special app access → Install unknown apps → choose your browser → allow.
3. Tap the downloaded APK in the notification shade or open it from your Downloads folder → "Install" → done.
The app launches directly with the mobile web UI: bottom-tab navigation (Home · Movies · Series · Live · Search), Netflix-style hero, hardware decoder via ExoPlayer.
Note: it’s the same APK as for Fire TV — the app auto-detects whether it runs on a phone or Fire TV and adapts the UI and controls accordingly.
v0.1 Beta contains the full player library with every feature from the browser: live TV, movies, series, continue watching, search, genres, streaming providers, watchlist and auto-resume.
Stream player: native ExoPlayer engine with hardware decoder for H.264, HEVC, AAC and AC3. 4K HEVC channels (Disney, HBO etc.) play smoothly without server transcoding.
Controls: Fire TV remote — D-pad to navigate, play/pause button, left/right arrows for ±10-second seek, back button closes the player.
What’s still missing (coming in v0.2): custom Yunory branding in the player instead of the ExoPlayer default controls, TV-optimised focus rings for the web UI.
From v0.3 the app checks every 30 minutes for a new update and shows a notification in the top right. You can download and install directly from inside the app — no separate setup download required. Manual check anytime via Tray icon → "Check for updates".
